Design note: In production the phone decodes the PDF417 barcode on the back (AAMVA standard), or posts the photo to POST /api/licence/scan, which calls Azure Document Intelligence prebuilt-idDocument and maps the fields. Here the camera preview is real if your browser allows it; the decode is simulated.
